Alternative. Rock. Love.

taylor

TaylorOn Thursday, March 8th of 2007, 14 year-old Taylor Jo Doherty took her own life. Taylor attended Fort Zumwalt South High School in St. Peters, MO. Everyone at South knew who she was. She was always one to make you smile if you were down, and she had the brightest smile that could light up any room. Taylor was an unforgettable person, whose beauty was not only inside, but out. Just the sound of her voice made you smile. She is noticeably loved and will be dearly missed.

Although no one from our band had the opportunity to know Taylor, the story reached us. Lydia wrote “Taylor’s Song” for one of her close friends who had known Taylor. “Taylor’s Song” takes the point of view of someone who has lost someone close to them, someone that they loved. It regrets not having the chance to tell them how much they were loved.

As a band we wouldn’t be who we are, or where we are with out Jesus Christ. Our biggest fear is that you would make the same mistake that Taylor did. We fear not having you here. We love you. And so does Jesus. Your life isn’t yours to take. So don’t you dare pull that trigger. The blade wasn’t meant for you. So put it away. Hold on. Hang in. And fight. There is hope.

Know that THIS is what we’re all about–HOPE in CHRIST
